Crop policy designed around corn head
John Deere Risk Protection is offering a new crop insurance policy especially for growers who own that company’s 600C Series Corn Head. The head is built to help pick corn that’s been blown over. Harvester Works Marketing Representative Kim Cramer says 25 bushels to the acre can be lost to wind, much of that potentially recovered by the head. John Deere Risk Protection Underwriting Manager Andy Caruso says the policy will cover what can’t be picked up by the 600C.
