Farmer makes community his heir to preserve family’s ag legacy

Decatur County farmer Jay Hatton has established his legacy that will support his local community for generations to come.  He was inspired by work that the community foundation does in his area to make life better for all residents.  Jay and his wife have no children and are leaving their fourth-generation farm to the Decatur County Community Foundation.  He tells Brownfield the foundation has both community and financial experts that manage the dollars generated from the farm to grow his investment long into the future.
