Massey Ferguson Showcases TIM Technology and MF 9S Tractor Updates at Commodity Classic

Labor shortages remain a challenge for many farms, and new technology from Massey Ferguson aims to help producers maintain efficiency and consistency in the field.
At the recent Commodity Classic in San Antonio, the company introduced Tractor Implement Management (TIM) as part of updates to the MF 9S Series tractor lineup.
Derek Reusser, senior marketing manager for tractors at Massey Ferguson North America, says TIM allows compatible implements to communicate directly with the tractor and manage certain tractor functions automatically to achieve a targeted outcome.
Instead of the tractor controlling the implement, the system allows the implement to guide the process to deliver more consistent results in the field.
“That means the implement can ultimately control the outcome,” Reusser says.
Jessica Williamson, North American Massey Ferguson Green Harvesting Marketing Manager, says that capability can make a significant difference in forage production. She notes that producing bales with consistent size, shape and weight typically requires a highly skilled operator.
TIM technology helps reduce that challenge by allowing less experienced operators to achieve similar results.
