Brownfield Ag News announces partnership with WOWO

It was this week in 1925, radio station WOWO debuted in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Brownfield Ag News radio network is pleased to announce the heritage ag radio station has joined the network.

“Congratulations to WOWO on a century of local radio!” said Cyndi Young, Director of Brownfield. “Brownfield is uniquely qualified to provide agricultural programming for WOWO and its listeners, and we look forward to our partnership. With a farm broadcaster based in Indiana who was raised on a farm and graduated with a degree in Ag Communications from Purdue University, we are committed to serving farmers in the state.”

The 50,000-watt radio station will carry timely and relevant agribusiness news, markets, and feature programming created by Indiana-based anchor/reporter Erin Anderson and Brownfield’s full team of award-winning farm broadcasters.

“With this alliance, we combine two heritage brands, making Brownfield and WOWO the dominant source of Farm News in Indiana,” said Ben Saurer, Vice President and General Manager of WOWO.

Brownfield Indiana, now with WOWO, is a true radio network buy compared to other Indiana radio options, covering 94% of the state’s row crop acres and providing advertisers the best coverage for their investment.

WOWO has a rich, deep-rooted agriculture heritage and this partnership with Brownfield reinforces that dedication to agriculture and the rural audience.

100 years later, WOWO is still making a huge impact. Brownfield is pleased to partner with WOWO, serving and engaging with the agricultural community now and in the future.
