The National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) recognized excellence in agricultural broadcasting and honored outstanding contributions to the industry during its 82nd annual convention, held November 19–21, 2025, in Kansas City. Among the organization’s highest honors, the Farm Broadcaster of the Year award was presented to Meghan Grebner, broadcast supervisor at Brownfield Ag News.

Grebner, an 18-year media veteran, oversees the quality and content of Brownfield’s radio programming across its expansive network. In addition to her supervisory role, she anchors and writes Brownfield’s Livestock Market reports, hosts the daily Healthy Living program, and contributes to several other key projects that connect rural audiences with timely, trusted agricultural information.

Her passion for the industry extends beyond the newsroom. Grebner has demonstrated steadfast commitment to service and leadership within NAFB, her community, and the broader agricultural sector. She currently serves as president of the NAFB Foundation Board of Directors, where she helps advance professional development and scholarship initiatives for the next generation of farm broadcasters.

“Meghan’s enthusiasm for farm broadcasting and love for the craft has only grown over the years. I have delighted in being there to see her grow in her career from her start in local radio to joining the Brownfield team,” said Cyndi Young, Director of Brownfield & Learfield Ag. “She is well known by those in the agriculture community for her passion for agriculture and her journalistic integrity. And through it all, she continues to raise her own bar. I am so very proud of her for receiving this well-deserved recognition.”

Grebner said receiving the award is deeply meaningful given her roots and the role farm radio played in her upbringing. “I am truly humbled and honored to be named the National Association of Farm Broadcasting’s 2025 Farm Broadcaster of the Year. Growing up on my family’s multi-generational livestock and grain operation, farm radio was a constant presence. From market reports to the news that mattered most, when our local farm broadcaster spoke, we listened. Today, it is one of my greatest joys to provide that same service to farmers and ranchers across the country.”.

Brownfield Ag News creates and delivers original content across multiple media platforms. Brownfield is the largest agricultural news radio network in the country. Nearly 600 affiliate radio stations in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Kansas and the Delta region carry agricultural programming created by Brownfield’s award-winning team of a dozen full-time farm broadcasters.
