Jared joined Brownfield in February of 2024. He earned an Associate Degree in Radio & Television Broadcasting from Lake Land Community College in Mattoon, IL in 1999, and has had a presence on the airwaves of Illinois ever since. He was News Director, Morning Show host, and Play-by-Play commentator for WRAN & WIXY in Shelbyville, and later WMKR in Taylorville. In 2002, Jared became the Sports Director, and an on-air host, for a station group in LaSalle-Peru. Five years later, he became the News & Program Director for WHOW & WEZC in Clinton, and in May of 2011 Jared was named the station’s Manager & Farm Broadcaster. His work telling the story of agriculture has earned him several state and national honors over the years. Jared resides in Clinton, Illinois with his four sons – Jaxson, Briggs, Logan, and Wade. He's an avid angler, and sports fan.
