Fiesta quinoa salad, Whole Grains Council recipe

Made with ancient grain quinoa (keen-wah)

Cynthia Harriman with the Whole Grains Council gives us an idea and explains that these grains fall into a couple of groups.  Just like vegetables, Harriman says, grains carry a variety of different health properties.  Each grain is different but all whole grains are rich in fiber and vitamins and minerals. All of the “ancient grains” are free of gluten.
