Being mindful of food allergies

The USDA says 1 in every 13 children in a classroom is affected by food allergies.  The top food allergy triggers are milk, eggs, peanuts, wheat, soy, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, and sesame.

Jesus Garcia, with the USDA’s Food Safety Inspection Service, says there are a few important reminders for food safety as we head back to school.
