Better Belly Blueberry ice cream
Ice cream is a year round favorite treat, not just in the summer time. But what if it could be made healthier? University of Missouri Food scientists have developed an ice cream that adds health properties to its already rich source of calcium and other nutrients. Food chemistry professor Ingolf Gruen says they’ve focused on adding benefits for intestinal, or “gut” health. Their creation is called “Better Belly Blueberry” ice cream which is, so far, only available for sale at one location.
