Buy and cook pork with more confidence

Consumers can shop for pork and cook it with more confidence. Pork is a lean meat choice that is rich in protein and other nutrients for good health. CeCe Snyder with the National Pork Board says 18 months of consumer research showed that pork cuts needed new names. She explains why they chose to name them after beef cuts.  Grill and cook pork cuts the way you do beef to an internal temperature of 145 degrees. Extensive tests at that temperature cleared the way for pork to be safely cooked to that lower temperature.
