Celebrating Soy Foods Month

April is Soy Foods Month. 

Soy is the only plant-based complete protein, which means it contains all the essential amino acids your body needs.  Soyfoods are a great source of plant-based protein.  And soyfoods are naturally cholesterol-free and low in saturated fat.  There are some easy ways to incorporate soy foods in your daily diet – it can be through tofu or stir-fries. 

Students at Purdue University’s Student Soybean Innovation Competition created a snack called Senbae, which is based on traditional Japanese rice crackers but uses soy instead.
