Chillin’ that outdoor summer food

Be sure you do as much or more chilling of food outdoors as you do grilling this summer to keep foodborne bacteria from multiplying and possibly causing sickness. Nobody likes a stomach ache or worse.  Nutritionist Tammy Roberts with the University of Missouri Extension service offers some helpful advice.  The rule of thumb is to keep your cooler foods completely covered in ice and keep a separate cooler for drinks because it will be opened much more often and the coolness will be reduced.
