Four food safety myths….busted

A food specialist with the University of Nebraska Lincoln tells us about the four food myths debunked by the Partnership for Food Safety Education.

Number one – that only children can safely eat raw cookie dough or cake batter. The answer is NO one should eat those because they could contain harmful bacteria that can cause illness…due to the raw eggs used. Just because something tastes good, says Julie Albrecht, doesn’t mean it is safe to eat and raw cookie dough and cake batter are no exception.
