More proteins and grains kept in school lunches
Public school kids will still get more meat and whole grains if they ask for it at lunch. The US Agriculture Department’s school lunch changes to help make kids healthier did not go over well with everyone. So, the USDA allowed for more servings of grains and lean meats and meat alternatives. Those changes have now been made permanent. The main complaints were about kids still being hungry after eating lunch.
