Scientist on nutritional benefits of GMO foods
A food scientist says to fear biotechnology in food production is to overlook the benefits. Dr. Ruth MacDonald with Iowa State University says many consumers believe all of the food at the grocery store has been genetically modified but that is not the case. She says there is a lot of oversight of GMO crops and there is NO evidence that GMO foods are harmful. MacDonald says genetic traits will lead to more nutritional benefits.
