Are sunny side up eggs safe to eat? 

Nutritionists and food safety experts say eggs and chicken should be cooked properly to avoid the risk of becoming sick from salmonella

Julie Albrecht, nutrition professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln says some cases of salmonella infection have been difficult to treat so it’s best to try and avoid getting it altogether.  Cooking eggs and poultry to 165 degrees kills salmonella bacteria.
