Understanding the symptoms of Alpha Gal Syndrome
The Lone Star tick is a vector for Alpha-Gal syndrome, wich can cause a red meat allergy. It has populations that have been established in the Northeast, South, mid-south, and Midwest and can be commonly found in wooded areas with dense undergrowth.
But as University of Missouri extension educator Eden Stewart tells us, not all symptoms are the same.
