Using technology to increase supplies of beef

Consumers are proving that beef remains in high demand, even at record price levels.  But beef supplies are tight and will likely get tighter as cattle producers start expanding their herds.

But a Cargill, one of the world’s largest meat processing companies is turning to artificial intelligence technology to increase harvest yields and add more beef to the supply.

Leon Fletcher vice president of operations for Cargill beef says the technology is called CarVe.
