Corn Harvest: The sooner the better with some hybrids
NK Agronomy Manager Todd McRoberts urges farmers to harvest corn while it’s still standing. “Late-season stalk rots, they’re really starting to take a toll on standability late here with a lot of these hybrids,” McRoberts told Brownfield Ag News. Disease in some corn hybrids has resulted in grain moisture percentage crashing from the low 30s to the high teens in a matter of days, which, according to McRoberts, has a bearing on standability.
