Feeders are key to reducing hay loss

The rising costs of hay and feed has cattle producers looking for ways to reduce waste on their farms.

Taylor Grussing, a Cow/Calf Field Specialist with South Dakota State University Extension says hay production in the U.S. has dropped which has caused feed prices to go up. She says to find savings, researchers studied which hay feeders worked best to provide hay and reduce waste.
