MoBeef MoKids is creating lifelong beef consumers
This program connects schools and their foodservice professionals to cattle farmers and ranchers to provide more beef more often in school lunches while implementing food and nutrition education in the classroom.
In this episode of Driving Demand, a content partnership with The Missouri Beef Industry Council, Program Director Luella Gregory tells Brownfield, schools report a higher school lunch participation from students and faculty when beef is on the menu.
To date, 35 schools are participating in the program and 25 are in the queue. Gregory said they are excited to expand Mo Beef Mo Kids, adding an ambassador program this year to help gain momentum.
