Nebraska farmer investigates drone applications
The use of drones in agriculture has developed a little slower than many envisioned a few years ago. But central Nebraska farmer Brandon Hunnicutt isn’t discouraged.
“The drone technology that we see on the farm isn’t very old, “Hunnicutt says. “In comparison, an iPhone is ten years old. Look at what our iPhone does now compared to 2007 or 2008. Drones aren’t there yet. We’ll get there. It’s just a matter of finding the right companies with the right technologies.”
Hunnicutt has been investigating the potential for drone use in their farming operation. He talks about some of what he’s learned on today’s Managing for Profit.
