CME milk futures, cash dairy mixed Wednesday

Milk futures and the cash dairy markets were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. 

March Class III milk was down $0.01 at $16.98.  April was up $0.05 at $17.20.  May was down $0.04 at $17.54.  June was up $0.01 at $18.08.  

July through January contracts ranged from unchanged in January to fourteen cents higher in August.  Wednesday’s Class III trade volume was just over fourteen hundred contracts. 

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.51.  No sales were recorded. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.0075 at $1.5150.  One sale was recorded at that price. 

Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.6075.  No sales were recorded. 

Butter was unchanged at $2.7750.  No sales were recorded. 

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0025 at $1.1950.   Four sales were recorded, ranging from $1.19 to $1.1950.
