Cash dairy prices mostly higher Thursday

Cash dairy prices were higher except for barrel cheese Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.   

Dry whey was up $0.0075 at $0.4825.  Four sales were recorded, ranging from $0.4775 to $0.4825. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were up $0.01 at $1.8350.  Three sales were recorded, ranging from $1.8050 to $1.8150. 

Cheese barrels were down $0.0350 at $1.84, where prices were Monday.  Seven sales were recorded, ranging from $1.83 to $1.85. 

Butter was up $0.0025 at $2.3425.  Eleven sales were recorded, ranging from $2.3350 to $2.3425. 

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0050 at $1.1725.  Three sales were recorded at that price.
