Cash dairy prices mostly lower Thursday
Cash dairy prices were mostly lower except for butter on Thursday at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Dry whey was unchanged at $0.6750. No sales were recorded.
Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.07 at $1.57. Seven sales were recorded, ranging from $1.57 to $1.5850.
Cheese barrels were down $0.03 at $1.57, matching the block market. No sales were recorded.
Butter was up $0.0275 at $1.6450, gaining back Wednesday’s loss.
Thirty-six sales were recorded, ranging from $1.6150 to $1.6450.
Nonfat dry milk was down 0.0125 at $2.2750. Eight sales were recorded, ranging from $2.2750 to $2.2875.
