Cash dairy prices steady to lower except cheese Wednesday

Cash dairy prices were steady-to-lower except for cheese Wednesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. 

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.5675.  No sales were recorded. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were up $0.0125 at $1.92. One sale was recorded at $1.9075. 

Cheese barrels were up $0.01 at $1.8275.  No sales were recorded. 

Butter was down $0.0250 at $2.4050 after jumping a nickel Tuesday, prompting several sales. Thirty-one sales were recorded, ranging from $2.39 to $2.4050. 

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.30.  No sales were recorded.
