CME cash dairy prices mixed Friday

Cash dairy prices were mixed Friday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. 

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.5875.  Two sales were recorded at that price. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.0375 at $2.2375.   No sales were recorded. 

Cheese barrels were down $0.02 at $2.59.  No sales were recorded.  

The block-barrel spread ended the week $0.3525 apart, after cheese barrels set a record earlier this week reaching a price of $2.6225, $0.3775 higher than blocks. 

Butter was up $0.0025 at $2.9725.  Five sales were recorded, ranging from $2.9725 to $2.99. 

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0025 at $1.38.  Five sales were recorded, ranging from $1.38 to $1.3850.
