CME cash dairy prices steady to higher Thursday

Cash dairy prices were steady to higher Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange with the exception of block cheese. 

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.5950.  Two sales were recorded at that price. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.0175 at $1.9250.  Four sales were recorded, ranging from $1.9250 to $1.9475. 

Cheese barrels were up $0.08 at $2.01.  One sale was recorded at $1.97. 

Butter was up $0.0450 at $2.68.  There have been solid butter sales in an active market for six straight trading sessions, with 33 sales, 15 bids, and 2 offers Thursday. Prices Thursday ranged from $2.6525 to $2.69. 

Nonfat dry milk was up $0.01 at $1.36.  One sale was made at $1.3525.
