CME dairy prices see pre-holiday dip

Cash dairy prices were mostly lower Tuesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. 

Dry whey was unchanged at $0.48.  No sales were recorded. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were down another $0.0550, or eleven cents in two days at $1.86.   Six sales were recorded, ranging from $1.86 to $1.9175. 

Cheese barrels were down $0.06 at $1.94.  Three sales were recorded, ranging from $1.9350 to $1.95. 

Butter was unchanged at $3.1075. No sales were recorded. 

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0025 at $1.19.  Three sales were recorded, ranging from $1.19 to $1.1950. 

The Chicago Mercantile Exchange will be closed for the Juneteenth federal holiday, but open again Thursday, June 20th.
