CME milk futures and most cash dairy closed higher Thursday

Milk futures and the cash dairy markets were higher except cheese and nonfat dry milk Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.   

September Class III milk was up $0.02 at $18.89.  October was up $0.15 at $19.10. November was up $0.24 at $18.78.  December was up $0.13 at $18.65.  January through July contracts ranged from six cents higher in February to thirteen cents higher in July.  

Dry whey was up $0.02 at $0.3050.  One sale was recorded at $0.30. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks remained unchanged at $1.9925. No sales were recorded. 

Cheese barrels remained unchanged at $1.86.  No sales were recorded. 

Butter was up $0.0250 at $2.6450.  Fourteen sales were recorded, ranging from $2.6450 to $2.67. 

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.02 at $1.0725. Four sales were recorded, ranging from $1.07 to $1.0850.
