CME milk futures, cash dairy lower except cheese & butter Thursday

Milk futures were down except for February and cash dairy prices were mixed Thursday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

July Class III milk was down $0.04 at $13.97.  August was down $0.09 at $14.37.  September was down $0.19 at $15.61.  October was down $0.16 at $16.60.  November through June contracts ranged from five cents lower in November to two cents higher in February.

Dry whey was down $0.01 at $0.23.  Nine sales were recorded from $0.23 to $0.2375.

Cheese blocks were up $0.01 at $1.3625.  Five sales were recorded from $1.36 to $1.3650.

Cheese barrels were up $0.0150 at $1.3425.  Thirty-five sales were recorded from $1.34 to $1.3625.

Butter was up $0.0125 at $2.4775.  Three sales were recorded from $2.4775 to $2.4825. Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0025 at $1.1075.  One sale was recorded at that price.
