CME milk futures & cash dairy mixed Wednesday

Milk futures were down in the near months and cash dairy prices were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Wednesday.

March Class III milk was down $0.04 at $17.80.  April was down $0.17 at $17.90.  May was down $0.09 at $18.36.  June was unchanged at $18.89.  July through January contracts ranged from three cents higher in July and January to sixteen cents higher in October.

Dry whey was up $0.01 at $0.46.  One sale was made at that price.

Cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.96.  Two sales were made at $1.96 and $1.9750.

Cheese barrels were up $0.0175 at $1.60.  Thirteen sales were recorded from $1.5875 to $1.6075.

Butter was unchanged at $2.38.  No sales were recorded.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0050 at $1.2150.  Three sales were recorded from $1.2125 to $1.2150.
