CME milk futures fall again, cash dairy mostly steady Monday

Milk futures were lower and cash dairy markets were mostly steady with very little activity Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.   

September Class III milk was down $0.09 at $18.39.  October was down $0.51 at $18.50.  November was down $0.37 at $18.50.  December was down $0.25 at $18.38.  January through August contracts ranged from unchanged in July and August to sixteen cents lower in January and February.   

Dry whey was down $0.0075 at $0.2950.  Nine sales were recorded, ranging from $0.2950 to $0.3025. 

The rest of the cash dairy market had no activity except for a couple of butter and cheese offers. 

Forty-pound cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.9250.  No sales were recorded. 

Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.8275.  No sales were recorded. 

Butter was unchanged at $2.68.  No sales were recorded. 

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.10. No sales were recorded.
