CME milk mixed, cash dairy steady to lower Tuesday

Milk futures were mixed and cash dairy prices were steady to lower with little market activity Tuesday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

March Class III milk was up $0.17 at $18.03.  April was up $0.01 at $17.67.  May was down $0.03 at $18.04.  June was down $0.10 at $18.58.  July through January contracts ranged from $0.10 lower in January to five cents higher in November.

Dry whey was down $0.0075 at $0.4575.  One sale was recorded at $0.46.

Cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.91.  No sales were recorded.

Cheese barrels were unchanged at $1.59.  No sales were recorded.

Butter was unchanged at $2.45.  One sale was recorded at that price.

Nonfat dry milk was down $0.02 at $1.18.  Two sales were recorded at that price.
