Milk futures, cash dairy higher
Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange ended the week higher taking back oversold positions while cash markets saw strong demand.
October Class III milk was up 15 cents at $17.16. November 12 cents higher at $17.34. December up 11 cents at $17.85. January 15 cents higher at $18.15. February through April contracts five to 21 cents higher.
Dry whey up $0.0150 at $0.3025. Twelve sales were made at $0.3025 and $0.30.
Blocks up $0.01 at $1.78. Two sales were made at $1.77 and $1.7875.
Barrels up $0.0350 at $1.60. Eight trades were made from $1.5750 to $1.562.
Butter up $0.0650 at $3.00. Four trades were made at $2.98 and $3.00.
Nonfat dry milk up $0.01 at $1.17. Three trades were made at $1.17 and $1.1725.
