Milk futures, cash dairy mixed

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were mixed at midweek following the direction of the cash trade market while the dollar was lower.

January Class III milk was down a nickel at $15.20. February 24 cents higher at $16.22. March up 16 cents at $16.66. April 11 cents higher at $17.34. May through July contracts eight cents higher to four lower.

Dry whey up $0.0075 at $0.43.

Blocks down $0.0050 at $1.56. Three sales were made at $1.5225 and $1.56.

Barrels up $0.01 at $1.48. Fourteen sales were made from $1.4750 to $1.49.

Butter unchanged at $2.5675.

Nonfat dry milk down $0.0125 at $1.1925. Two trades were made at $1.1925 and $1.1950.
