States stepping up to help sustainable aviation fuel take flight

More and more states are looking to support the sustainable aviation fuel market.

Delta Airlines vice president of government affairs Jeff Davidman says Minnesota is one of several states are incentivizing the production of sustainable aviation fuel.

“Illinois, Washington, and Nebraska have all passed SAF tax credits as well in the last two years.”

He says Michigan, Colorado, New York, Massachusetts, California, Oregon and Georgia are also either studying SAF or putting forth legislative proposals.

“And it’s a problem that we have to solve not just for the state but for the region, and really globally, as we look at where the demand is going to be.”

Davidman made these remarks Wednesday at the MN Ag Expo in Mankato, Minnesota.
