32% of Indiana corn, 24% of soybeans planted

Warmer temperatures in Indiana helped push corn and soybean progress ahead of the five-year average, according to the latest USDA crop progress and condition report.

Thirty-two percent of the state’s corn crop is planted, compared to the five-year average of 27 percent. Eight percent of the crop has emerged.

Twenty-four percent of soybeans in Indiana are planted. Four percent of the crop has emerged.

Seventy-five percent of winter wheat is rated good to excellent.
