47% of Ohio corn, 54% of soybeans rated good to excellent

The USDA says rainfall helped crops in Ohio last week.

The condition rating for corn fell slightly and is 47 percent good to excellent. Soybeans held steady at 54 percent good to excellent.

Seventy-seven percent of corn is dented, and 14 percent is mature.

Thirty-three percent of soybeans are dropping leaves.

One percent of the winter wheat crop is planted.
