52% of Indiana corn, 53% of soybeans rated good to excellent  

The USDA says scattered showers and thunderstorms stabilized crop conditions last week in Indiana.

Fifty-two percent of the state’s corn crop and 53 percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent.

Seven percent of the corn crop is silking, and 13 percent of soybeans are blooming.

Winter wheat is rated 70 percent good to excellent with 90 percent of the crop mature and 36 percent harvested.

The second cutting of alfalfa hay is 35 percent complete, and the second cutting of other hay is 26 percent complete.
