53% of Indiana corn, 55% of soybeans rated good to excellent
The USDA says ideal fieldwork conditions spurred winter wheat harvest along in much of Indiana last week.
Sixty-two percent of the crop is harvested. It’s rated 72 percent good to excellent.
Fifty-three percent of the state’s corn crop and 55 percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent.
Fifteen percent of the corn crop is silking. Twenty-two percent of soybeans are blooming, and two percent are setting pods.
The second cutting of alfalfa hay is 51 percent complete, and the second cutting of other hay is 39 percent complete.
