61% of Ohio corn, soybeans rated good to excellent

The USDA says widespread rainfall helped row crops last week in Ohio.

Corn emergence is nearly complete, and 61 percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.

Soybeans are 95 percent emerged with 61 percent rated good to excellent.

Winter wheat is rated 52 percent good to excellent with 35 percent of the crop mature.

The second cutting of alfalfa hay is 11 percent complete, and the second cutting of other hay is three percent complete.
