61 percent of Americans support large farm subsidy cuts
A new study conducted by WorldPublicOpinion.org says 61 percent of Americans favor cuts in farmsubsidies to large farming businesses, while at the same time 77 percent support subsidies to farms less than 500 acres.
The view of farm subsidies did not differ all that much when comparing farm state vs. non-farm states. According to the nationwide sample of 765, in the17 states that receive the largest amount of farm subsidies, 35 percent favored subsidies to large farming businesses, compared to 35 percent in non-farm states.
