72% of Michigan corn, 63% of soybeans rated good to excellent

The USDA soybean planting is winding down in Michigan.

The agency says as of Sunday 93% of the state’s expected soybean crop has been planted with 63% of the crop in good to excellent condition.

Corn emergence is at 92% with 72% of the crop in good to excellent shape.

Ninety-five percent of the state’s winter wheat crop has headed with 80% of the crop rated good to excellent. The winter wheat harvest has not started, according to USDA.

Pasture and range conditions are rated 76% good to excellent.
