74% of Ohio corn, 72% of soybeans rated good to excellent 

The USDA says crop progress across Ohio accelerated under favorable conditions and timely rains.

Seventy-four percent of the state’s corn crop is rated good to excellent, with 64 percent at the dough making stage, and 23 percent dented.

Seventy-two percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent with 96 percent blooming and 82 percent at the pod setting stage.

Sixty-one percent of pastures and rangelands are in good to excellent shape.
