76% of Ohio corn, 70% of soybeans rated good to excellent  

The USDA says seasonable temperatures and timely rains helped advance crop development last week in Ohio.

Seventy-six percent of the state’s corn crop is rated good to excellent, with 97 percent silking, 45 percent at the dough making stage, and two percent dented.

Seventy percent of soybeans are rated good to excellent with 92 percent blooming and 69 percent at the pod setting stage.

Sixty-eight percent of pastures and rangelands are in good to excellent shape.
