79% of Missouri corn, 76% of soybeans rated good to excellent

Missouri crops continue to benefit from above average precipitation. 

The USDA says 79% of corn is rated good to excellent, the same as last week, with  76% of the crop silking, and 32% is in the dough stage.

Soybean conditions improved slightly and are rated 76% good to excellent, with 17% of the crop setting pods.

Seventy-three percent of Missouri’s cotton is squaring with 8% setting bolls. 60% of the cotton is rated good. Missouri’s rice crop is 12% headed and rice is rated 79% good to excellent.

Topsoil moisture is 96% adequate to surplus and subsoil moisture is 97% adequate to surplus.
