A soybean agronomy lead encourages growers to look ahead to 2025
The BASF U.S. soybean agronomy lead says it’s never too early to start making plans for the 2025 growing season.
Marc Hoobler says each year is different.
“It’s been very consistent though I think you know year on year has been soybean cyst nematode,” he says. “I think that is the number one production issue in soybeans today.”
He tells Brownfield 2024 has had its own set of challenges, but growers should be looking ahead to further their operations.
“Obviously yield is number one,” he says. “That’s what farmers look for. Provide solutions to to farmers. Most challenging production issues like soybean cyst nematode, for example, or by top their root rod or white mold.”
BASF has 19 new Xitavo soybean seed products available during the 2025 season.
