Above average harvest pace continues in WI

Above normal temperatures and mostly dry conditions continue to keep harvest at an above average pace in Wisconsin.

USDA says 65% of soybeans are dropping their leaves and soybean harvest is 9% complete. Corn for grain is 39% mature and corn silage harvest is nearly halfway complete, ahead of average.

Potato harvest is 62% complete. Winter wheat planting is underway, at 34% complete with 18% of the crop emerged. The fourth cutting of alfalfa is 79% complete.
