ADM expands soybean crush capacity with upgrades at four U.S. plants

ADM says it will be making upgrades at four existing plants in the next three years, adding 700,000 metric tons of annual crush capacity.

Storage improvements, optimization work and equipment upgrades are happening at the Frankfort, Indiana facility, expected to be completed by late 2028.

There will be upgrades made in systems to unlock additional crush capacity in Deerfield, Missouri, expected late 2028 or early 2029.

The ADM crush plant in Lincoln, Nebraska will get some meal storage enhancements and debottlenecking improvements by late 2028.

A relatively new Spiritwood, North Dakota facility will get equipment upgrades, expected to be completed in mid-2028.

ADM says the expansion would create demand for more than 25 million additional bushels of soybeans annually, and the company is evaluating similar investments at other North American crush locations.
